In this course, we explored the user experience of electric car charging, comparing it to conventional refueling to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Through extensive research and interviews with electric car users and industry professionals, we uncovered significant issues: inconsistent charging processes, varied payment methods, and unclear feedback during charging.

To address these, we designed an intuitive system that simplifies the charging experience. A one-time app setup allows personal data and payment info to be transmitted via NFC chips in the cable. During charging, users simply plug in the cable, select a profile, and receive clear feedback through LED signals and the app. Our goal was to create a universal and seamless experience, making electric vehicle charging as intuitive as possible.
